After two years of Covid related shutdowns Gay Island Guide and Residence Inn Kapolei brought back the LGBTQ Splash-Inn Pool Party to West Oahu in Kapolei where hundreds attended.

On Sunday, October 31, 2021 Gay Island Guide held its 2nd Halloween Event and Costume Contest at Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach- “Heaven & Swell”. The night was full of angels and devils with everything inbetween. Drag performers Aria Del Rey, Omnia Nova and Jana Del Rey took to the stage and DJ Vaughn, Emvee and Keala Kennelly pleased the crowd with amazing beats!

Gay Island Guide hosted a special Pride White Party to celebrate Honolulu Pride at Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach during the pandemic under the restrictions given by government. Mayor Rick Blangiardi joined the celebration to kick off a weekend of events.
